I'm creating a little guest house in my backyard for my parents when they visit. The feel is mid-century cabin in the woods (er, California desert). The interior is predominantly wood, and we strived to find the perfect grain as well as the perfect stain to achieve that look. I remember searching the MLS for inspiration. This stunning example of late Mid-Century architecture gives you the feel for what I am hoping to accomplish. I loved this house not only for the use of wood inside and out, but for the stunning views and the indoor/outdoor flow...the house is designed in a U-shape around a courtyard.
